Drink'In Drive Allergy Information Policy

1. Introduction

Drink'In Drive is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all our clients and their guests. This Allergy Information Policy outlines our practices and procedures for managing and communicating food and beverage allergens to prevent allergic reactions during events.

2. Importance of Allergy Information

We understand that food and beverage allergies can pose significant health risks. Therefore, we are dedicated to taking reasonable steps to minimize the risk of allergic reactions by being transparent about the ingredients used in our beverages and implementing proper handling procedures.

3. Client Responsibilities

3.1 Notification of Allergies

Clients are responsible for informing Drink'In Drive of any known allergies or dietary restrictions of their guests at least 14 days prior to the event. This information must be provided in writing and should include detailed descriptions of the specific allergens to avoid.

3.2 Providing Complete Information

Clients should provide comprehensive information about any allergies, including the severity of the allergy (e.g., mild, moderate, severe), possible cross-reactivity with other allergens, and any emergency procedures or medications required in the event of an allergic reaction.

4. Drink'In Drive Responsibilities

4.1 Communication of Allergies

Upon receiving allergy information from the client, Drink'In Drive will communicate this information to our bartenders and staff to ensure that appropriate precautions are taken. We will review ingredient lists and preparation methods to identify and avoid potential allergens.

4.2 Ingredient Transparency

Drink'In Drive will provide complete ingredient lists for all beverages served at the event. Clients and guests are encouraged to review these lists and ask questions about the ingredients used. Our staff will be available to provide information and address any concerns regarding potential allergens.

4.3 Training and Procedures

Our bartenders and staff are trained to handle and prepare beverages in a manner that minimizes the risk of cross-contamination. We adhere to strict hygiene practices and use separate utensils, equipment, and preparation areas for allergen-free beverages when necessary.

5. Cross-Contamination

5.1 Risk of Cross-Contamination

While Drink'In Drive takes reasonable steps to prevent cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that beverages will be completely free of allergens. Clients and guests with severe allergies should exercise caution and communicate their needs clearly.

5.2 Preventive Measures

To minimize the risk of cross-contamination, we:

  • Use separate utensils and equipment for preparing allergen-free beverages.

  • Clean and sanitize preparation areas thoroughly between uses.

  • Label and store ingredients separately to avoid accidental mixing.

6. Emergency Procedures

6.1 Preparedness

In the event of an allergic reaction, our staff is trained to respond promptly and appropriately. Clients should ensure that any necessary emergency medications (e.g., EpiPens) are available at the event and that guests know how to use them.

6.2 Medical Assistance

In the case of a severe allergic reaction, our staff will call emergency medical services immediately and provide all relevant information to first responders.

7. Limitations of Liability

Drink'In Drive will take all reasonable precautions to prevent allergic reactions. However, we cannot be held liable for any allergic reactions that occur as a result of consuming our beverages. Clients acknowledge and accept this risk by choosing to use our services.
